PLATANAL

Platanal arises from the investigation of the works of some of the most important printmaking artists of the 50’s Generation in Puerto Rico, focused on analyzing their visions of the socioeconomic, political, and cultural conflicts prevailing at the time. It is a denunciation and, at the same time, a reaffirmation of Puerto Rican identity, presenting agriculture as one of the most affected sectors, and proposing its resurgence as one of the most viable alternatives for Puerto Rico's economy.
